Quakes Cut Down Storm, 3-1
In a low-scoring affair between the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and the Lake Elsinore Storm, pitcher Guadalupe Lujan was the difference between victory and defeat. The Rancho Cucamonga right-hander earned accolades in the 3-1 Quakes win. Carlos Garza recorded the save for Rancho Cucamonga, his 2nd of the season. The loss drops Lake Elsinore to 5-4.

The Storm had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Quakes going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old shortstop Gene Foley came to the plate. Foley hit a 3-run home run on a 1-0 cutter from Lake Elsinore hurler Steve Mohl. It was Foley's 2nd home run of the year.

"It was a good effort all around," said Foley.
