The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes beat the Lake Elsinore Storm, 7-0. Rancho Cucamonga pitcher and San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic, native Victor Rojas led the way. Lake Elsinore, with the loss, is 4-5.

The Quakes liked what they saw from Rojas. The 22-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Storm to no runs on 5 hits over 7.2 innings, and striking out 9.
