The Bakersfield Blaze got a magnificent performance from pitcher Victor de la Rosa, who muffled the High Desert offense en route to a tight, 2-1 Blaze win at Stater Bros. Stadium. Nazih bin Burhan recorded the save for Bakersfield, his 2nd of the season. The win puts Bakersfield at 6-4.

Bakersfield relied on the bat of Alex Cervantes to get the win. The left fielder produced a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the second inning to put the Blaze ahead, 2-0. For the game, Cervantes had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.

"Victor just settled in and did what he does," said Bakersfield manager Jerry Zuniga.
