Giants Get Clutch 4-3 Win
The 4-3 San Jose win over Stockton was due largely to David Pena. The Giants designated hitter went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. Jason Cranford, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. San Jose is off to a hot start at 10-1.

Caleb Franklin was the walk-off hero for San Jose. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Giants second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Pena said.
