Inland Empire picked up a win at San Manuel Stadium, bumping off the Lake Elsinore Storm, 4-3. Pitcher Eddie Shipman was a major reason the 66ers emerged victorious. With the loss, Lake Elsinore is 4-8.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when center fielder Mitch Alford hit a run-scoring single. The 66ers went on to win.

Alford attributed the win to his team's "determination."
