The Stockton Ports picked up a win at Banner Island Ballpark, dropping the Lake Elsinore Storm, 8-3. Bob Lujan was the difference-maker. Lake Elsinore now has a record of 5-10.

Takao Wilson had a big 2-run home run for the Ports in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Stockton leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Bill Pierce and swatted a home run to right. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ports ahead, 3-0.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Lujan.
