The High Desert Mavericks topped the Lancaster JetHawks, 6-2, in California League action at Stater Bros. Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of High Desert pitcher Guillermo Abeyta. High Desert sits at 10-6.

High Desert took a 4-2 lead on Colin Milligan's 11th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Milligan hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Lancaster pitcher Ryan Newman visibly frustrated.

Milligan attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
