The Inland Empire 66ers topped the Visalia Rawhide, 4-2, in California League action at Recreation Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Inland Empire pitcher Jose Alonso. Jim Dailey finished to wrap up his 3rd save. With the win, Inland Empire improves its record to 11-5.

Inland Empire used the clutch hitting of Chris Gautreaux to snag the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the 66ers ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Visalia skipper Josh Millender, "and it cost us."
