Pelayo Stars in 6-2 Giants Win
|
Ernesto Pelayo knocked in 4 runs to help San Francisco beat New York, 6-2. The left fielder collected 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. The winner was Chris Martin, who threw 78 pitches over 5.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with no runs on 5 hits. With the win, San Francisco goes to 7-2.
San Francisco took a 5-0 lead on Pelayo's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Jonathan Blount in the top of the sixth, propelled San Francisco to the win.
"This team's hitting on all cylinders," said Giants manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon.
