Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Quakes
Taylor O'Malley did all he could to help his team prevail. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Bakersfield Blaze from losing the game, 6-5, to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in 10 innings at LoanMart Field. O'Malley went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Jon Latham snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Mike England suffered the loss. Rancho Cucamonga, now 12-5, has gotten their season off to a good start.

The Quakes got a clutch hit from second baseman Miguel Pozo. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Quakes.

"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Pozo.
