The Lake Elsinore Storm had to weather a strong performance from Stockton pitcher Ricky Vazquez before claiming a 3-2 win in 10 innings. Vazquez went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. The winner in relief was George Phillips. He is now 1-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Stockton drops to 8-9.

Lake Elsinore used the timely hitting of Marcos Flores to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Storm on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Flores said after the game.
