Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Lake Elsinore Storm and Stockton Ports.

The Lake Elsinore Storm topped the Stockton Ports, 4-3, in California League action at Banner Island Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Lake Elsinore pitcher and Pineville, Kentucky, native Ian Lancaster. Lancaster, now 1-1, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 7, walking 0, and allowing 3 runs.

The Storm got a big at-bat from center fielder John Bertrand. For the game, Bertrand was 1-4 with a triple, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Lake Elsinore a 3-1 lead.
