Lancaster pitcher Johnny Gibson did his part in helping his team beat the Visalia Rawhide, 5-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The winner was Gibson. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Josh Calloway. Picking up the save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Greg Linton.

In the bottom of the fourth, Lancaster designated hitter Nate Lazor had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Lazor stroked a run-scoring single to left-center. It made the score 4-3, Lancaster. For the game, he was 1-4.

"This team is on a mission," said Lazor, who is one of the clubhouse leaders. "I like our focus."

Lancaster goes to 13-6.
