Brown Helps Blaze Beat Ports, 13-5
Due in large part to left fielder Kyle Brown, the Bakersfield Blaze sunk the Stockton Ports, 13-5. Brown went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The loss drops the Stockton record to a disappointing 8-14.

Jose Onzales, who is tied for 6th in the CAL in RBI with 12, came through for Bakersfield with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the sixth. The designated hitter went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 4 RBI.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Brown told the Bakersfield Chronicle.
