The Lancaster JetHawks downed the Inland Empire 66ers, 6-1, at San Manuel Stadium. The JetHawks were led by Marco Gonzalez. Gonzalez was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Lancaster, now 17-7, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Lancaster used the timely hitting of Anrrique Joanes to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the JetHawks on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"They had a good approach," Inland Empire skipper Jonathan Vasquez said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
