The Bakersfield Blaze took on the Stockton Ports at Banner Island Ballpark.

Bakersfield pitcher Charlie Woodlee did his part in helping his team defeat the Stockton Ports, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Jeff Slovinsky earned the save, his 3rd, for the Blaze.

Bakersfield used a timely hit from Jake Flynn to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blaze ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"This was a total team effort," said Woodlee.

With the win, Bakersfield lifts its record to 14-10.
