Giants Lose to Stockton, 2-1

Banner Island Ballpark was the site of a true pitchers' duel.
Though he had a great game, Gavin Wenk could not single-handedly produce a win for San Jose. Stockton won the game, 2-1. Wenk was 1-1 with a home run. The save went to Jose Rosario, his 1st this season.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Ports had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when catcher Luke Swindle hit a 2-run single. The single came off Bill Bilyou and made the score 2-0, Ports. Swindle went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
"Tough loss," said San Jose manager Kyle Horn. "The kind that burns a little inside."
San Jose is now 13-11.
