The Lake Elsinore Storm faced a tough opponent in Bakersfield pitcher Rob Wilbur, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Lake Elsinore Diamond by a final score of 5-4. Wilbur went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Lake Elsinore goes to 19-7 with the win.

Had Evan Weinstein not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Weinstein hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Storm.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Bakersfield manager Jerry Zuniga. "The effort was great."
