High Desert Absorbs 6-1 Loss to San Jose
The San Jose Giants knocked off the High Desert Mavericks, 6-1, in California League action at San Jose Municipal Stadium. San Jose pitcher and Barcelona, Venezuela, native Venceslau Mana had an outstanding performance. The Mavericks fall to 12-15 and continue their uneven start to the 2113 season.

The Giants got a big at-bat from shortstop Juan Galvez. For the game, Galvez was 2 for 4 with a triple and a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave San Jose a 2-0 lead.

"We did a lot of things right," said Galvez.
