Edwin Castillo propelled his team to victory over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. The final score was 6-2, Inland Empire. Inland Empire reliever Andrew Bonin picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Dave Izquierdo absorbed the loss. Inland Empire is now 15-15, Rancho Cucamonga 22-8.

Inland Empire took a 4-2 lead on Gary Dennis's 5th triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which Dennis hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Rancho Cucamonga pitcher Dave Izquierdo visibly frustrated.

"Do what you're good at," said Inland Empire manager Mike Scarpa. "That's all I ask of the team."
