Taylor Now 2-3 After Beating Storm
|
In a low-scoring clash between Visalia and Lake Elsinore, pitcher Chad Taylor was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned praise for his performance in the 1-0 Rawhide win. Chi-ju Tze finished to wrap up his 1st save. After today's action, Visalia sits at 8-22, while Lake Elsinore falls to 22-8.
Taylor, who dominated for Visalia, earned the victory to move to 2-3. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 4. Lake Elsinore batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"I'm happy we won," said Taylor. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
