Rays Tag Mariners with 6-2 Loss
|
The Tampa Bay Rays locked up a win at Safeco Field, knocking off the Seattle Mariners, 6-2. On the mound for Tampa Bay was right-hander Casey Reavis. He played a major role in the triumph. Reavis picked up the win for Tampa Bay, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. With the loss, Seattle sinks to 4-5.
It could have been a different outcome for Tampa Bay, had it not been for Dennis Wilkes, the 23-year old center fielder . Wilkes contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Tampa Bay up, 1-0.
"Casey was dealing," said Tampa Bay manager Kyle Delgado.
