Huffman goes 3-for-5 in Modesto Win
The Modesto Nuts beat the Stockton Ports, 13-5, at John Thurman Field. Modesto shortstop Brian Huffman had an outstanding performance. He went 3-5 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Modesto reliever Ernesto Arvallo got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Monte Sanz was tagged with the loss. Modesto goes to 19-12, Stockton to 13-18.

Early in the game, right fielder Chris Salomon had a 2-run triple for Modesto. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Nuts on top, 2-0.

"We hit the ball on the barrel," said Modesto manager Steve Kamps.
