Visalia parlayed a decent outing from starter Eric Nieto into a solid win over the Lake Elsinore Storm. The final score was 5-3. J.P. Van Nostrand recorded the save, his 4th. Their 17-14 record puts the Rawhide third in the North Division.

In the top of the ninth, Albert Mendoza stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Storm were trailing 5-3, but had runners on 1st and 2nd. That's when J.P. Van Nostrand made a terrific pitch and Mendoza lined out. Gone was the dream of a Lake Elsinore comeback.
