The Lake Elsinore Storm knocked off the Bakersfield Blaze, 6-4, at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark. It took 15 innings. Jose Nunez was a prime reason Lake Elsinore won. The second baseman went 5-8 with a triple, a double, and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The second-place Storm now have a win-loss record of 22-15.

Nunez had a game-changing triple in the top of the 15th. On a first pitch sinker from Aaron Craig, he banged a 2-run triple to right-center, giving the Storm a 6-4 lead. It was the 1st triple of the year for Nunez.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Nunez told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
