The Lancaster JetHawks had to overcome a fine performance from High Desert pitcher Ken Campbell to grab a 3-2 win at Stater Bros. Stadium. Campbell allowed 1 run over 6.2 innings. Andrew Thompson notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. The win puts the JetHawks at 18-20, while the Mavericks drop to 15-23.

Lancaster used a clutch hit from Miguel Santillano to get the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the JetHawks ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"This team is capable of getting on a roll," said Lancaster skipper Francis Prettitore.
