Lake Elsinore Decked by Thompson, JetHawks

The Lancaster JetHawks bested the Lake Elsinore Storm, 9-3, at The Hanger. Marcus Thompson was one of the standouts. He went 4 for 4 with 2 home runs, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Bob Saragosa, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-2. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The 'W' lifts Lancaster's record to 17-23.
Zach Renfroe had a big 2-run double for the JetHawks in the bottom of the third inning. With Lancaster leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Tony Rivera and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the JetHawks ahead, 4-0.
"You just play the game as right as you can and see where you end up," said JetHawks manager Jose Gomez.
