John Waddoups had a hand in Lake Elsinore defeating Lancaster by the score of 7-3. Waddoups went 2 for 3 at the plate, scoring 1 times and driving in 2 runs. The third-place Storm sport a record of 20-20.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Waddoups delivered big-time for Lake Elsinore, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Jody Pascoe. The game-changing hit put the Storm on top, 4-3.
