Bakersfield had no answer for Lake Elsinore Storm hurler Juan Roybal, who overwhelmed Blaze hitters as the Storm coasted to victory, 10-1. Lake Elsinore bumps their record to 30-12 with the win.

Jesus Lopez had a big grand slam home run for the Storm in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Lake Elsinore trailing 1-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a splitter from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Camacho and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Storm on top, 4-1.

Bakersfield manager Matt Kolb called the blowout loss "nothing to write home about."
