Inland Empire got a terrific game from first baseman Aaron Wanner. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Visalia, 7-5. Wanner went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Visalia reliever Juan Fierros picked up the win to move to 1-2. Isiah Howard suffered the loss. The win gives Visalia a season record of 25-18.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ryan Williams? The Visalia designated hitter had a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rawhide on top, 7-5. For the game, Williams had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"There's so many different ways you can win a game," said winning manager Josh Millender.
