Streaking Rawhide Win Another One, 6-3
|
The Visalia Rawhide picked up a win at San Manuel Stadium, knocking off the Inland Empire 66ers, 6-3. On the mound for Visalia was right-hander Giampietro Avellino, who played a pivotal role in the win. Avellino picked up the win for Visalia, going 6 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 5-1. Getting the save was Ricky Maldonado, his 8th.
Chris Swearingen, the 24-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Swearingen contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Visalia up, 4-3.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Visalia manager Colton Burns.
