Sean Holloway knocked in 4 runs to help High Desert beat Bakersfield, 8-7. The second baseman collected 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. High Desert reliever Luis Salas picked up the win, while Hector Trejo took the loss for Bakersfield. The misery continues for the Blaze, which has now dropped 13 in a row.

High Desert used the timely hitting of Seth Rulo to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Mavericks on top, 8-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Rulo said.
