With left fielder Roland Meyer leading the charge, the San Jose Giants defeated the Lake Elsinore Storm, 12-4, at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Meyer, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2106 draft, was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Phil Hulsman picked up the win in relief. Seth Owen took the loss for Lake Elsinore. The win makes San Jose 33-14.

San Jose grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Meyer hit a 2-run double off Jesse Kurcz. His 10th double of the season put the Giants out in front, 5-3.

Lake Elsinore manager Danny Morton said: "We'll rinse this one off and get ready for the next game."
