On Road, Lake Elsinore Drops San Jose, 2-1
|
San Jose wasted a solid 5.1-inning effort from starting pitcher Jason Cranford, losing to Lake Elsinore, 2-1, at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Jonathan Remien earned the save for Lake Elsinore, his 2nd of the year. Lake Elsinore is now 29-19.
Lake Elsinore used the clutch hitting of Aaron Thomas to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Storm the lead, 2-1. For the game, Thomas had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.
Thomas called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
