Rancho Cucamonga Shuts Out San Jose Behind Focht, 7-0
It wasn't easy but Russ Focht made it look that way.

Focht silenced the San Jose Giants, 7-0, in a Rancho Cucamonga Quakes triumph at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Despite the appearance of dominance, Focht said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 3 walks and 3 hits.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."

In 10 starts this season, Focht has fashioned a 8-1 record and a 0.74 ERA.
