Giants Get 3-2 Win Versus Bakersfield
Brent Hitchcock pitched well, but the Bakersfield Blaze still lost the game, falling 3-2 to the San Jose Giants at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark. Alberto Vasquez recorded the save for San Jose, his 9th of the season. With the victory, the Giants upped their record to 30-20.

San Jose relied on the hitting of Bryan Edwards to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Giants on top, 3-1. For the game, Edwards had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
