Lancaster JetHawks starter Cody Bancroft was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Bakersfield Blaze, 4-3. In 7.1 innings, Bancroft surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 3. He allowed 3 runs. Ryan Newman finished the game for Lancaster and earned his 3rd save.

Lancaster used the bat of Miguel Santillano to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the JetHawks ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Bakersfield manager D'Aundray Van Slyke. "But we decided not to take it."
