|
The Toronto Blue Jays bested the Texas Rangers, 4-2, at Rogers Centre. John Slaff was one of the standouts. He hit 2 home runs. Toronto reliever Victor Urueta was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Imre Wenner took the loss. Toronto goes to 7-4.
Mark Spalding aided the Toronto cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 3 with a double.
