Quakes Stick Storm with 7-3 Loss
Rancho Cucamonga picked up a win at LoanMart Field, bumping off the Lake Elsinore Storm, 7-3. Pitcher Russ Focht was a major reason the Quakes emerged victorious. Focht, now 5-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 10, walking 0, and allowing 3 runs. Rancho Cucamonga bumps their record to 31-25 with the win.

Steve Lewison had a big 2-run home run for the Quakes in the bottom of the third inning. With Rancho Cucamonga leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a changeup from Ian Lancaster, who is tied for 10th in the CAL in complete games with 1, and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Quakes on top, 4-1.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Focht. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
