Rawhide Top Giants to Even Record
Jeremy Adams powered the Visalia Rawhide to a win over the San Jose Giants. The final score was 6-4. The Visalia third baseman, who is tied for 9th in the CAL in home runs with 7, was phenomenal. He stroked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Visalia pitcher Alfonso Torres earned the win, hiking his record to 5-1. Jeff Young suffered the loss. Visalia is now 29-29, San Jose 36-22.

The Rawhide got a big hit from first baseman Josh Rosenthal. Facing San Jose pitcher Matt Sheffer in the top of the sixth, Rosenthal pounded a 2-run home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season put the Rawhide ahead, 6-0.

"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager Josh Gilmore.
