Mavericks Need Extra Innings to Top JetHawks, 10-8
Fans who congregated at The Hanger were treated to extra-inning drama.

The High Desert Mavericks defeated the Lancaster JetHawks, 10-8, in 12 innings. Sean Holloway led the way, going 2-for-4 for High Desert. High Desert reliever Matt Wilczynski picked up the win to move to 6-1. Caleb Priest suffered the loss.

Holloway had a game-changing double in the top of the 12th. On a 2-0 fastball from Caleb Priest, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Mavericks a 9-8 lead. It was the 9th double of the year for Holloway.

In postgame remarks, Holloway simply said: "Here's to a great win!"

High Desert now sits in second place in the South Division at 27-31.
