Nuts Come Back Late to Top JetHawks, 5-4
The Modesto Nuts and Lancaster JetHawks played an entertaining game for John Thurman Field patrons.

The Modesto Nuts handed the Lancaster JetHawks a 5-4 defeat at John Thurman Field. Shortstop Ken Valasek starred for Modesto. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Modesto reliever James Parsons picked up the win, upping his record to 1-5. Jeremy George absorbed the loss.

Modesto took a 5-3 lead on Omar Campos's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Campos hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Lancaster pitcher Jeremy George visibly frustrated.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Campos told the Modesto Chronicle.

Modesto is now 34-28, Lancaster 28-34.
