San Jose Downed, 6-4, by JetHawks
|
Lancaster third baseman Alberto Rojas was instrumental in helping the JetHawks triumph, 6-4, over the San Jose Giants. Rojas went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Bill Barrow was the winner. He's now 7-3. The loser was 22-year old left-handed pitcher Tim King. Chris Dorsey wrapped it up, recording his 5th save.
Had Rojas not come through in the top of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Rojas hit a run-scoring double. The JetHawks took the lead, 5-4, and never looked back.
"We didn't play well enough to win," San Jose skipper Brian Johnson said.
The loss makes San Jose 43-20.
