In a low-scoring contest, Lake Elsinore pitcher Matt Cant was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win. With the win, Lake Elsinore upped its record to 38-25.

Lake Elsinore won the game in part because of Corey Lanham. The second baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Storm ahead, 2-1. For the game, Lanham had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Cant told the Lake Elsinore Citizen.
