Stockton 9-2 Losers to Giants
The San Jose Giants pinned a convincing loss on the Stockton Ports, 9-2, at Banner Island Ballpark. Chris Slemp was a main factor in the win. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for San Jose. The setback makes Stockton 22-42.

With San Jose leading 3-2 in the top of the sixth, Slemp hit a fastball from Angelo Buckland for a grand slam home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Giants ahead, 7-2.

"What a lackluster performance," lamented losing manager Mark Zoss.
