Blaze Win with Late Rally
The Bakersfield Blaze faced a tough opponent in High Desert pitcher David Shea, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark by a final score of 5-4 in 10 innings. Shea went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. The win went to Aaron Craig in relief, making him now 3-3. Josh Young took the loss for High Desert. The setback makes High Desert 28-39.

Batting in the bottom of the tenth, 21-year old left fielder Jose Onzales had a real shot to win the game. High Desert pitcher Josh Young was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Onzales hit a run-scoring single. The Blaze had a walk-off triumph.

"He who laughs last laughs best," Onzales said, postgame.
