In a low-scoring contest, Lake Elsinore pitcher Seth Owen was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win in 10 innings. The win was credited to 24-year old right-handed pitcher Jadon Hill in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ernie Stokes took the loss. Lake Elsinore is now 42-26, while Stockton is 31-37.

Batting in the bottom of the tenth, 26-year old catcher Matt Johnson had a real shot to win the game. Stockton pitcher Ernie Stokes was determined not to let it happen. But with no outs, Johnson hit a run-scoring single. The Storm had a walk-off triumph.

"This place sure got loud," said Danny Morton, the Lake Elsinore manager.
