Storm Saddle Giants with 3-2 Loss
|
Lake Elsinore pitcher David Davis had a large part in his team beating the San Jose Giants, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Davis picked up the win for Lake Elsinore, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-2. The save went to Bill Pufahl, number 1 for him.
Lake Elsinore used a clutch at-bat from Aaron Thomas to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Storm ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Davis said.
Lake Elsinore, at 28-41, holds down third place in the South Division.
