Bradley Excels in 6-2 Inland Empire Win
|
The Inland Empire 66ers finished off the Stockton Ports, 6-2. Much of the credit belonged to catcher Jake Bradley. Bradley went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the 66ers. Picking up the win was Brian Jancewicz. He went 8 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 10 and walked 2. The triumph makes Inland Empire 21-48.
With Inland Empire leading 3-0 in the bottom of the third, Bradley came up to bat against Stockton pitcher John Bohannon. Bradley hit a fastball to left-center for a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the 66ers on top, 6-0.
"Jake was ready to go. Big day for him," said Inland Empire manager Steve Abrahamson.
