The Stockton Ports earned a close win over the Lake Elsinore Storm, thanks in part to Pedro Sambrano. The Stockton left-hander, who is tied for 5th in the CAL in saves with 7, played a key role in the 3-1 victory. Jason James closed it out for Stockton, earning his 3rd save. The third-place Ports now have a record of 33-37.

Tyler Clark, who is tied for 8th in the CAL in home runs with 8, had a direct impact on the outcome. Clark contributed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Stockton up, 2-0.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Sambrano said.
