Blaze Zap JetHawks, 5-1
|
Starting pitcher Alejandro Aparicio was a major factor in the 5-1 Bakersfield Blaze triumph over the Lancaster JetHawks. The Blaze sit in last place in the North Division with a record of 32-43.
The Blaze got a big at-bat from first baseman Steve Atkins. For the game, Atkins went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Bakersfield a 2-0 lead.
"Alejandro made his pitches," said Bakersfield manager D'Aundray Van Slyke.
