Red-Hot JetHawks Win Again
|
Jose Pereyda, who is tied for 9th in the CAL with a 3.01 ERA, had a strong outing for the Lancaster JetHawks against the High Desert Mavericks at Stater Bros. Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. The save went to Justin Hose, his 2nd this season. The win elevated the JetHawks to 39-37.
Chris Parrish, who is tied for 8th in the CAL in triples with 5, had a direct impact on the outcome. Parrish contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Lancaster up, 2-0.
"Tough loss," said High Desert manager Danny Alonso. "The kind that burns a little inside."
